Automatically set the right heat for different techniques and stages of cooking, taking the guesswork out of choosing settings.

Assisted Cooking Modes for Boil, Fry and Grill

Help you take on high-heat techniques with confidence. Sensor monitoring automatically sets the ideal heat, alerts you when to add ingredients and maintains constant temperature while food cooks. Requires the use of specialty KitchenAid® pans (sold separately).* *Visit potsandpans.com/kitchenaid to purchase required cookware: 8 Qt Stockpot (#71003), 12" Nonstick Open Frying Pan (#71010) and 10.25" Round Nonstick Grill Pan (#71012). Allows you to exceed the maximum heat-level setting for 5 minutes, to help you get to a rapid boil

For assisted cooking modes, auto presets and numerical power settings are simple to use. The seamless design is also easy to clean.

Recognizes the size and placement of cookware to generate heat directly within the pan. An indicator light and sound will alert you if you turn the cooktop on without a pan on the selected element or if your pan is not compatible with induction cooking.

Disables cooking mode for easy cleaning when not in use.

Allows flush installation for a seamless look or standard installation to fit an existing cooktop cutout.

Such as multi-ply stainless steel, enamelled steel or cast iron. Aluminum and copper cookware will not work unless it has a base made of iron or steel. Look for pans marked "Works with Induction" or test to see if a magnet will stick to the bottom.
